Choosing Your First Guide: A Seeker's Field Notes

The Council · 3 min read · August 13, 2026

Your first session begins long before the session. It begins the moment you admit to yourself that you want one ~ and immediately meet the next question: with whom? Here are field notes for that crossing, gathered from the way this city is built.

Start with the dimension, then find the person. ONEE organizes every offering along eight dimensions of wellbeing ~ emotional, spiritual, physical, vocational, social, intellectual, financial, environmental. Naming which one is asking for attention narrows a whole city into a neighborhood. A season of career fog points you toward vocational work; a heavy chest points toward the emotional; a restless body knows its own answer. Trust the dimension that keeps surfacing.

Read the Glimmers. After every completed session, seekers leave what we call a Glimmer ~ a rating and a few honest words. Glimmers are tied to real, completed bookings, which means every one you read comes from a person who actually sat with that guide. Read three of them and you will hear the guide's texture: how they hold silence, how they open, how people feel walking out.

Look for the door that costs nothing. Many guides offer a discovery call ~ a short, free first conversation marked clearly on their profile. It exists precisely for this moment: fifteen minutes to feel whether your nervous system settles in their presence. Resonance is data. Take the call, and let your body vote.

Notice the marks of the city. A Council Verified badge means our team has confirmed who the guide is. Their real availability comes from their actual calendar, so every slot you see is one they can truly hold. The price on the offering is the whole price ~ what you see is what you pay, on every payment method, always. And when a guide is fully booked, the waitlist button is a real queue: you will be told the moment a spot opens.

Money can be met in more ways than one. Some guides accept barter ~ your craft, your harvest, your skills, offered in exchange for theirs. The forward pool exists too: seats sponsored by seekers who came before you, for those who quietly ask. In this city, the sincerity of your seeking counts for more than the weight of your wallet.

Come with one intention, held loosely. The booking form offers a place to write what brings you. A single sentence is plenty ~ your guide reads it before you arrive, and the session starts three steps deeper because of it. Afterward, the app will invite you to complete the cycle: a reflection, a Glimmer for the next seeker, and, whenever a session moves something in you, a tip that goes to your guide in full.

Above all: your first guide is a beginning, and beginnings are allowed to be experiments. Book the small offering before the immersion. Meet two guides and feel the difference. The city keeps every door open, and your pace is the right pace. See beyond ~ align within ~ expand without.
